2018 Harmonized Election Multi-Party Interface

On 19 July 2018, Silveira House hosted a National Multiparty Interface for presidential candidates contesting in the 2018 elections. The objective of the Interface was to inculcate in people a sense of multiparty democracy and a spirit of mutual respect in a context of differing political opinions, with the overall aim of promoting long lasting peace and a broader socio-political imaginary, thereby laying a firmer foundation for meaningful development. The Interface was attended by 745 people drawn from different political parties and sectors of society. In attendance also were 15 presidential candidates and key figures from the main Church mother bodies, from civil society organisations and from different government institutions.
